In full: Its not as good as the old course.Bit of a tight squeeze getting through the gate after exciting the school. The narrow footpath due to roadworks slow runners down. Its a quick course but there are some climbs here and there. I enjoyed the final mile. Nice goody bag and medal and well supported and marshalled by garden city joggers.

In full: How the hell I forgot to rate this one.
A nice race, the country roads provide a few challenges especially that hill towards the end. The t-shirt good as ever and most of all well organised by Thrift Green Trotters.
Looking forward to next year.

In short: WET,WET,WET!!!
In full: If only for the rain and the wind.
Soaking wet and very little chance of running a fast time.
Course is challenging. First 2k is uphill which can play on the legs.
Nice course, well organised, well marshalled and well supported too. A long time since getting a mug for finishing. Look forward to next year, hopefully the weather will be better.

In short: Well organised, well worth taking part
In full: This is one race where its worth taking part. Well organised by Tiptree road runners. Well marshalled and supported by the club. The start was abit muddled with some gaps in allowing a car or two. The start should have been better as it seems slower runners and faster runners were mixed at the front which create problems for the 1st mile. The course is rural, nice and quiet, and maybe fast-ish! Conditions were ideal. Didn`t run as fast as last year but I`m having a bad year anyway! Well controlled in the final 1/2 mile with marshalls and police controlling traffic and runners. As usual worth taking part in getting the legendary shirt. Will return next year.

In short: One of my favourite races. But not my all-time favourite.
In full: Done this for 17 years so its more like a addiction. As ever, well organised. Same route with the long road and challenging climbs. Great atmosphere and well worth doing. T-shirt - dull. Why can`t it be a technical shirt. £40 is steep for a big race despite not really value for money. But if you want to do this one, then that`s price you have to pay.

In short: Good village race
In full: This is my one of my usual races I enter. Once again, very hot but nothing unusual. Maybe move the start time abit earlier. Regarding the start. 1)It needs to be bigger and 2)Start on time rather than wait for the mayor to turn up. Again, proper mile markers required. My main gripe was the 2 lap circuit especially on lap 2 when the faster runners have to duck and dive through the slower competitors. There should be marshalls telling those on lap 1 to stay on the left and lap 2 on the right.
In all, a good village race, friendly rivalry, but organisation needs improving.

In short: Well organised challenging race.
In full: This is my first time competing in this race as I decided to avoid two nearby half marathons. The course is challenging and not the best of all routes but I faced worse. The sun made it hard work especially at 8.30-9.00. One gripe - why separate the start for men/women. Why be a normal race and put them together. But in all it was a really good race to enter. Well organised, good value for a 10k, great t-shirt, medal and goody bag, perfect parking and the best time to start a race. If only all races can start at this time.

In full: I have run this race for years and I praise the organisers for a well organised event.
Always well marshalled and supported. Still a challenging course but not as good as the old one. My only gripe is the final mile along a pretty busy road of traffic. Unless the oragnisers change that last mile or move the start time an hour eariler. But overall, 10 out of 10 and back next year.

In short: Well organised, great course, best 10K in Essex
In full: I enjoy running this 10K. It is always well organised, perfect marshalling. A challenging course and that last hill can take your legs out but enjoyable anyway.
Good to find a 10K with mile and kilometre markers. T-shirt is always worth running for but not as good as previous years.
Good friendly atmosphere with marshalls and
runners. Certainly one of the best 10K`s in Essex. Will be back next year.
