In short: Train? What train?
In full: Lovely race that the whole town of Tywyn get involved in - and rightly so! It is a fab event, with a great ethos. Great organisation, in spite of the large numbers of runners and supporters.

In short: One of my favourite races
In full: Last year was the only time I didnt run this event, due to injury. It was great to be back, at this event which is always well organised, with a lovely atmosphere and the fab scenery. A wonderful half and dont be intimidated by the 'hilly' description..its not that bad!

In short: Excellent organisation - scenic - great support
In full: 12 hours of just over 9km laps around Eastnor Deer park. Very well organised event, with BRILLIANT support from adventure scout marshalls - who understandably looked rather bored after 6 hours but kept encouraging you! Not sure that the finishing/ranking format is the best, as it meant that some people may have been encouraged to do another lap when they didnt need/want to. Guy who won was out for nearly an hour extra as he could have in theory lost his 1st place. Perhaps an alternative approach could be introduced??

In short: Fun, but overpriced
In full: £25, for an 'extreme' XC race. Hmmm Ive done more challenging races. Entered as part of a team, so was more a social race for me, but for £25 you didnt 'get' much. Chip timed, and a t shirt. It was fun and very wet, however I wouldnt rush back as I have entered similar races that are less than half the cost (sodbury slog anyone!?) which I think are much 'better'.

In short: Wet, wet, wet oh and wet
In full: Pretty grotty weather, meant tough underfoot conditions (many paths under several inches of water) so difficult to see what you were putting your foot onto...so that slowed me down. Good organisation though, and not too intimidating of you are new to this sort of event. Only minor gripe was the momento...cheap medal, which given the entry fee wasnt much. I KNOW you dont the event for these things, however I have been on much better 'value' events. Id rather there have been some very basic snacks at CPs.

In short: Yet again Dick et al achieve the impossible
In full: A wonderful race - over a hot BH weekend. Came back after success last year and managed to bag 3rd place this year. a 60% dropout rate this time, luckily I wasnt one of them. This race has an exceptionally unique atmosphere to it. A wonderful event. Next year??......maybe.
