In short: Good atmosphere, scenic course, well marshalled ,but a bit pricey
In full: I entered on a last minute whim, not having run this far for 9 months or so, but really enjoyed it.Scenery and organisation were excellent, and the course was interesting rather than difficult (apart from the hill at 10mi).Although the soup went down a treat,it still seemed quite pricey for a low key event-finishing certificates are a bit of a cop out for a memento.

In short: Well organised, excellently marshalled but not a fast or scenic course
In full: Good venue, plus organisation and marshalling were faultless. The weather made the course appear a bit more tricky (some mud/ tight turns), but the undulations were fairly mild. However its the first race I`ve done for a while where there was absolutely no banter within the pack-I was with a 38/39 minute group (hardly likely prize winners)and it was all a bit po-faced, even the snorkel wearing marshal was ignored...lighten up a bit guys.

In short: Better than my previous experience, but its still overrated, although missing out on sub3 by 40secs didn`t help my attitude...

In short: Usual superb organisation, just not very scenic
In full: Excellent organisation with good marshals and a super fast course. Race HQ in a school getting a bit tatty at the edges, but thats a minor gripe. I wish all races were as well run as this one...

In short: Tough, well organised and friendly but the traffic is horrendous
In full: Every bit as hard as the rumours say- only a couple of the hills are really steep, but its the sheer number of them that wears you down.Good organisation and lots of water/sponge stations, the only downside is that you are frequently running on the side of the road alongside heavy, fast and usually impatient traffic.
I suffered for the last 10 miles, but the fast final mile at least lets you claw back a bit of time.Definitely a race to be experienced !
