In short: Toughest race I have ever done by a big margin!!!
In full: This race is not for the faint hearted - I knew it was going to be hard but it was really, really, really hard!!! It was almost soul destroying in places! Was supposed to be running with my husband but he is injured so was on my own so thanks to those who helped me up when I fell and when I almost twisted my ankle!! At the end I said never again and was completely exhausted....but now in hindsight I would say it is definitely a special race and I will be entering next year....but I may do more hill training in the Lakes to prepare me a bit better - I have just stopped aching! ;-)

In short: Pretty race with definite PB potential
In full: My first time at this race and I really enjoyed it - great atmosphere, lovely scenery and well organised. The course is not too tough either, quite flat so I got a PB and I imagine a few others did too - great medal and t-shirt AND it was good to get Lucozade and water at the end, nice touch!

In short: Very good race - watch out for the monster hill after the tunnel! :-)
In full: A very scenic and enjoyable race. My only criticism is that it could be better marked, someone rode past us on a bike near the end and said we had 400 metres to go but up to then we had no idea of how far we had gone so its hard to pace yourself (if you don't have a Garmand anyway!). Then when we were getting to the end, there was a huge crowd stood on the corner so I presumed this was the end so legged it and then found out we had to turn the corner and go up the road to the end!

This is definitely a race I would do again though - people should be aware that it is actually 5.3 miles though as opposed to 5 miles.

In short: This is quite a hilly course but it is a nice run through a lot of housing estates and main roads - well organized and the volunteers were really friendly - would definitely do again!
