In short: Challenging but part of a great day out
In full: Found the hills in the first half quite tough but starting and finishing in the zoo makes this a special race. Race is great value for money as it includes a day entry to the zoo.

In short: Low key but quick
In full: Low key race in scenic Broadlands estate. Multiple laps of a flat course, good under foot and car-free so potential for pb.

In short: Great local race
In full: I've done this race a few times and I am always impressed by the organisation. The final couple of miles are along the seafront, the course is fast and the sections in the airfield are traffic free. I got another PB in 2012 and look forward to next year.

In short: Great race
In full: Flat course with only one small hill and a great opportunity for a pb. Well organised and lovely cake at the end.

In short: Enjoyable local race
In full: Enjoyed the race and managed to get a PB. The final hill to the finish was tough but the first half encourages a quick pace if you can hang on. The route is on quiet roads with very little traffic and the race was well organised.

In short: Well organised race
In full: First time running my local 10k. Although very hot, this was an enjoyable race, very well organised with a good atmosphere and a mix of club and unattached runners.

In short: Low key but enjoyable
In full: A race of two loops and limited support but I loved the fact that, due to the small field, I could run at my own pace right from the start, unlike other marathons. Course was scenic (except for a short section), fairly flat and well organised for a newish event. Didn't expect it to be so hot and could have done with another water station particularly with no shade anywhere on the course. May be back next year.

In short: Be prepared to get wet and muddy
In full: Great change from my usual road races. Mix of good trails, short hills, big puddles and muddy water to wade through. Would recommend running it in a team, forgetting about your time and just running through the puddles. The only negatives were slippy cattle grids and a lack of marshalls on much of the course.

In short: Great event, frustrating race
In full: Really enjoyed the last few miles when I could get into my stride and run at the pace I wanted to! Up to then it was so frustrating - too many people starting in the wrong pen or completely oblivious to other runners around them. Whilst I'm glad to have had the opportunity to run the London marathon once and it is a great spectacle, I won't try and get in again.

In short: Well organised, fast race
In full: As ever this race is well organised and marshalled. It has been improved with a better start and finish and a section along the seafront towards the end. A heavy rain shower and short flooded section didn't stop me getting a PB. The goody bag was generous for the cost of the race and the cake made up for the lack of chip timing.
