In short: Toughish offroad event with superb views, great atmosphere and lovely wine at the feedstations. Fancy dress optional, but should perhaps be complusory, given the splendid costumes sported by around 3/4 of the participants. In full: Fabulously organised festival of running at a great venue. Would not recommend the full marathon unless you are very well trained or very thirsty! Will surely be back next year for another crack at this. Thanks to the organisers and to the very friendly marshals. Date of review: September 15, 2014
In short: Great combination of Dirty Fun in the Woods followed by rehydration in the Woodman In full: The inclement weather and very wet conditions underfoot could not spoil this lovely event. It was excellently signed and marshalled and with lots of supporters out on the course despite the conditions.Very nice to run on a few rarely used trails, although the section around 4 miles was not seen at its best. Thanks for all the support from other runners and spectators Date of review: June 5, 2014
In short: well organised very tough offroad marathon on a beautiful course In full: Weather was very bad, but couldn't diminish the enthusiasm of the hardy souls who turned out for this. The course was very well marked so I didn't make a wrong turn, despite the complexity of some of it and the marshals were simply outstanding - so cheery despite the rain crashing down and the rivers of mud washing round their feet. In short: Great offroader on lovely course with fab atmosphere. In full: My 7th appearance in this out of 8 years and will be back again as long as my legs are willing. Many thanks to my fellow runner for all the encouragement and to the marshals and organisers for doing a simply splendid job. May I add that the associated kids' 2km fun run was massively enjoyed by my daughters (aged 8 and 10). Date of review: September 22, 2013

Well done again Dr Rob and thanks to all the fab marshals and other assistants.
