In short: Bring back Wollaton Park! In full: I'll be back because it's my nearest race, but I didn't like the new course. No so much worried about the scenery, but lack of spectators. It was like running thro' a ghost town in places. Get it sorted, organisers! Date of review: October 3, 2012

In short: World's first, but what else had it to offer? In full: Sorry to be a wet blanket, but this didn't do it for me. It's not a city centre race and it's hardly scenic country side. It stated clearly it wasn't for fun runners, but there were no stars either. It's also probably the quietest race I've ever done, due to the lack of crowds for the majority of the course.
Not sure why I paid to use the bus, as no-one checked whether I had or not. They just seemed to make hard work of it, early start, hanging about, no parking etc.
It's probably useful if you're doing London next month, but other than it was the world's first, I didn't see much point to it, and won't be back next year. Date of review: March 14, 2010

In short: Can't beat it! In full: The best City Centre race, bar none. Yes, they charge for the priviledge, but they do deliver. My 27th consecutive year, and I hope to make that 28 next year.
Avoid the official car parks if you can. Date of review: September 18, 2008

A big thanks to all the organisors and volunteers. Their efforts were much appreciated. Hope to be back next year. Don't forget to get in early! Date of review: December 11, 2006

In short: Ginger biscuits at the end. Ought to be compulsory at all races. In full: Not an easy race, particularly as it was quite windy. Some nice countryside, but not so good running along the main road towards the end, especially for the wheelchair competitors on the unmade part. Nevertheless a pleasant morning out, and I will be back to do this again. Date of review: November 26, 2006

In short: My personal favourite In full: Fantastic scenery, the sun shone, no traffic and a mildly challenging course. What more could one ask for ?
In this case, perhaps a little less sun. I wish I'd taken my shades.
Beats all those city centre races out of sight. Date of review: November 22, 2006

In short: Got my nice clean running shoes muddy ! In full: A very pleasant morning out. Course not too tough and weather cool but dry. Marshalls very encouraging, but not many spectators out in the countryside. Decent T-shirt, which I shall take on holiday to wear next week. Disappointed I didn't win a spot prize, only one number off. I'll have to come back next year for another go. Date of review: October 3, 2006

In short: Hot, hot, hot, hot and hotter In full: Nice race. Extra water stations most welcome. Would be aquick one, but for the heat. Did I mention how hot it was? Enough going on to keep the family amused too. Date of review: June 12, 2006

In short: Sorry to disagree with everyone, but I didn't really enjoy this one. In full: Good points:
Fantastic crowds and marshalls on route. Good weather - cool with no wind.
Bad points:
Followed instructions how to get there, but someone had dug the raod up!
Car park was full, and seemingly miles from the start.
The runners' exit from the stadium wasn't wide enough. Quite a lot of time lost.
The first and last three miles thro' the industrial estates were probably the bleakest I've ever come across.
Running thro' an underground car park was a new experience for me! Date of review: May 15, 2006
