In short: Great race in spectacular surroundings with cheering marshals & nice cake.
In full: Back for my 3rd time. Again a new course with a little extra climb at the top along a twisty path through bluebell woods before rejoining the main track, water & down the breakneck descent. Conditions this year were superb & the new start/finish meant it was downhill all the way home :)

In short: Fantastic day out. Best time in 4 years, medal & technical T, bar & pig roast to finish.
In full: Another great day in Dymock. Late start means everyone's relaxed & the sun put us all in an even better mood. Lots of friendly chat with faces old & new before the start whilst waiting for the bus. Set off with the relatively modest target of beating last year's time but felt so good half way that I picked up the pace & the last 4 miles flew by in a blur resulting in my first negative split HM & a course PB. Arriving back to the bands, bar & BBQ made the day extra special. Thank You Dymock & see you in 2014

In short: Demanding run in glorious surroundings with excellent cakes for all.
In full: Good value, well organised race which was demanding but totally runnable with a friendly atmosphere and a wide field. The marshals were great cheering us all on. Excellent tea & cakes at the end were very welcome. For the winners there were outstanding trophies & booze too.

In short: Worth it for the eccentric start & prize giving alone
In full: My third time in 3 years says it all. It was sweltering by the time the canon roared to start us off over 13 miles of sun-baked tarmac (yes really, sun in 2012!!) Plenty of water stations along the undulating course and a good deal of support kept us going. By the time I reached the end I was desperate for shade.
With the bank holiday having been moved for the Jubilee the atmosphere back at the Cricket club wasn't as good as previous years: I missed my burger followed by scrummy homemade cake washed down with tea, though the bar was open & the alcoholic prizes flowed freely.

All monies raised go to supporting a cancer charity so a medal & T-shirt for all finishers for only £10 makes this a bargain, even if they were clearing out old stock.

In short: A great race which has outgrown itself.
In full: Too many runners for the facilities. Car parking was a joke, arriving an hour before the start I was directed up a logging track only to meet a queue of cars trying to reverse back down! There were cars parked along all the surrounding roads , even across the race route. I must have missed the water station/goody bags though I was in early enough to get a T-shirt & bottle of water.
That said I enjoyed the course again, signs were abundant and the increased numbers meant there was more support on the route.

In short: Plenty to drink, clear signage (though split for 5 milers was not clear), PB (by 5mins!), friendly enough, nice medal. One complaint: leaving car park - ouch 20 minutes & no marshalls so pushy drivers got out first.
In full: Weather was ideal - unless you came in over 2 hours, traffic on route less of an issue than last year - perhaps because of poorer weather. Please sort out a better system for leaving the car park and some marshals to highlight the split off for the fun-runners - one poor girl got to 4 miles and had to turn back!
