In short: Bournemouth Bay Half Marathon
In full: First two miles quite hilly, a tough hill to start followed by a nice down hill stretch. Race along seafront was windy, so ran into a headwind for 6 miles. Once reaching the point of turning around the run became easier. I found this race easy the last time I did it, this time around I found if to be challenging. But I probably wasn't fit enough. Also quite warm from around 11am. Glad I completed the race.

In short: Excellent HM!
In full: Second time I've done this race. Really enjoyed the run, quite hilly in some parts. Was extremely cold to start and then got very warm, I opted to wear lots of clothing during the race and ended up regretting it at the tenth mile. Overall excellent atmosphere and enjoyable race.

In short: Great race
In full: I must say the support at the Bath Half Marathon is the best I've ever seen in the UK, a memorable atmosphere for sure. As for the late start, give or take there were 11,000+ runners so rather safe then sorry. I loved the medal and thought the goodie bag was generous even considering the entry fee, as a cyclist and triathlete I usually pay more and get nothing and this is a big race, so quite chuffed. Those who are complaining, I think you are being very unfair. Todays race was worth the trip up from Wales and I will be back in 2010. Oh and before I forget, those looking for a fast course, this is excellent don't let some of the remarks on here put you off, high five to those angry bears lol

In short: Excellent Half Marathon
In full: Firstly a big thank you to the Marshalls who stood in the terrible weather whilst we ran and those who offered encouragement and support. Tough race due to the weather, I was pleased when I crossed the finished line. I must also point out how friendly the welsh are, atmosphere was fantastic and enjoyed the banter. Will be back in 2010...

In short: Ideal for anyone taking up running.
In full: A good race, ideal for anyone looking to do their first 10km race. As usual - the atmosphere and support were brilliant. A worthwhile cause as well... Be back next year.

In short: Watford Half Marathon needs new management...
In full: I did this race in 2008 and now in 2009. I think I will give the race a skip in 2010. Here are the reasons why: 1. Organisation of baggage was painful, I felt sorry for the poor guy who lost his bag 2. I thought the race lacked atmosphere until the finish 3. No thought was given to goodie bag, a medal costs £1.50 if bought in bulk and my 2009 t-shirt looks the same as 2008, except date change 4. Nearly ran over by a car because a certain BMW driver ignored a marshall who told me to go haha crazy stuff!!! I did knock off 4 minutes and 20 seconds from 2008 and I love the course, the hills are great, but still I've done enough races now to appreciate what is a good race, this unfortunately is a poor race. If you have nothing better to do next year, do it but don't expect anything special.

In short: Great race
In full: Watch the hills, especially the last hill at the 11.5 miles mark, I saw many runners struggle on the last hill. Overall great race and wow, I achieved a PB. High five Swindon, see you in 2009.

In short: Excellent race
In full: Absolutely brilliant race, just a few things to add as suggestions. 1pm start took up most my Sunday, perhaps an earlier start would be better. Second year in a row I paid online and did not receive my race pack, however I must compliment the admin staff of the event, they sorted out a race pack and were exceptionally apologetic and friendly. Overall super race, best 10km race in the country without a doubt...
