In short: Stunning and Challenging
In full: This marathon certainly lives up to it's strap line of 'Britain's most Beautiful'with it's most amazing scenery. However, it has to be one of the most challenging due to the relentless hills that just kept coming with the only flat bit appearing at mile 18!! That said, it was fantastic and although the quads were screaming I loved every part of it. You could certainly tell this race was organised by runners for runners. Lots of very supportive marshals, plenty of water stations and despite the remoteness, supporters were able to get around the course by bus or bike. I'll definitely be back next year but will probably give the Run Bike Run a go.

In short: Mud Glorious Mud
In full: This was my second outing at the DPW and it certainly didn't disappoint. Mud and lots of it made it a great race. Marshals were brilliant as were the post race refreshments. Will definitely be back for more in 2011.

In short: Great race, great day, shame about the loos
In full: Having taken part last year and enjoyed it so much I came back for more this year. Again another great race and well organised apart from the lack of loos. I'm sure there were more last year!

Fantastic support from the marshalls and from the local people who came out to cheer you on along the way.

A great way to get some final training in for the VLM and the sun was shining, what more could you ask for.

In short: Great race, hills not too bad, well organised
In full: This was my first outing at the Bedford Half and I was a little daunted by the stories of the hills at mile 7/8. I'm glad to report they were no where as steep as the topography would suggest. Lots of support and cheers from the marshalls who were out in force on this very chilly day. Course has PB potential and even I managed one today. Very well organised with welcomed Bacon rolls at the end too. Great race to top off the year.I'll be back for more next year.
