In short: A bit hillier than I remembered. In full: Well organised, well-marshalled, nice enough course, but that medal? I've had some cheap and crappy medals in my time, but that takes the biscuit. Please save the money next year. Date of review: November 4, 2013
In short: The organisers should have informed entrants that numbers were to be collected on the day, as they have been sent out in previous years. There was no mention of this on the website. In full: The traffic situation needs sorting out. There were not enough marshals, and those that were there were no doing anything about the many cars on the route, turning into and out of side roads and blocking the running route. Cars were even driving. unmarshalled, down the narrow road which the runners were running up to the finish, and which was crowded with spectators too. This needs to change - it was dangerous. In short: Unique setting - industrial, but not hideous, on a track not normally available to the public. In full: The criteria RW give you to choose from don't really reflect the setting for this race. It is industrial, but it's a motor manufacturer's test track (for the most part), not pretty but not horrible either.
It's a bit expensive, but it's a fund-raiser for the local Hospice. Date of review: February 24, 2013
