In short: Where's the MEDAL
In full: Really good run - even managed a PB with the hills!! Marshalls were great and no issue with water stations.
Only grumble is where is the medal. If it were a choice between medal or running top I would go for the medal! Also 'goody bag' was not quite goody! There are alot of races all over the country therefore race organisers need to make sure they are providing value for money. I would class this as a 6/10 for value for money.

In short: Could be better
In full: Agree with many of the comments. Although the route was nice enough not sure why it's called Edinburgh City Marathon. Unfortunately because of the route it's not a great route for spectators hence why in many parts there aren't any. The prospect of spectators cheering you on as well as running with many thousand's of other people help many to complete the 26 miles, therefore this was a let down.
Organisation at the end was dreadful, to have a repatriation area approximately 1 mile away from the finish!! Start time to late - this is the latest start time of all the marathons I have run in.
I would not normally want to be as scathing as this, but feedback is feedback and hopefully people listen. As it is an event company running the event I am presuming there are commercials involved and profit, therefore it would be nice for them to defend themselves and answer some of the critisism.

Otherwise a great day in hindsight!!
