In short: Great race! Thank you Macc Harriers.
In full: Had I realised how wonderful the view at the top was going to be I wouldn't have minded the uphill slog at all. Will be back next year to be more appreciative!

In short: I LOVE this marathon!
In full: I love the course with its long flat country lanes and great last few coastal miles. The effort put in by the organisers and marshals is fantastic. I prefer less populated marathons so hope this event never gets too popular! The energy drinks were a welcome addition and I met up with other forumites and had a fab weekend in general.

In short: Stunning scenery, great organisation, a perfect race/day out!
In full: Can't wait for next year when I will do more training to make it less painful! The other runners were in great spirits, marshals were friendly and helpful as were the organisers. Weather was perfect. Superb ultra!

In short: A lovely scenic marathon!
In full: Enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would! Fantastic scenery over the first half compared to the 2nd half, but by that time I wasn't that bothered about sight-seeing and just wanted to get to the end. Lots of water stations with isotonic drink and the race was generally well-marshalled and organised. Lots of friendly support. AND you get to meet Colin Jackson. What more can I say!
