In short: Excellent organisation, great support and a lovely course In full: This is one of the best organised, most friendly races I've entered. Great facilities at the racecourse with quick baggage drop and plenty of toilets. The support from the marshals throughout was fantastic and there were plenty of well-stocked water stations. The course through lovely Cheshire and Welsh country side is slightly more undulating than you might expect, but the views make up for it. Will definitely be back again! In short: Hilly but enjoyable In full: Course was hillier than I expected but very scenic. The sun came out after 10 minutes which was a boost. The big downhill at 9k makes for a fast finish! Starting area and first 500m uphill quite congested but not a huge problem. The organisation was excellent. Marshals friendly, helpful and encouraging all the way round. Particularly valued the marshalls posted throughout Goring to direct you to car parking, which was necessarily some distance from the race start. Date of review: March 7, 2011

In short: Undulating 10k through beautiful park land In full: A great race with a friendly atmosphere through the beautiful parkland around Blenheim palace. An undulating course on mostly tarmac private roads with short stretches on gravel (and sheep poo!) and a few hills to test you. Walkers blocking the road were an issue in various places but otherwise it was well organised, no-gimmicks race. Parking well managed close to start/finish. Agree with the organiser's choice to not provide goodie bags/T-shirts/medals. Date of review: October 18, 2010

In short: Great atmosphere at a well-organised event. In full: First 10k race. Narrow paths and gates in places made it tricky to maintain rhythm for a novice racer like me. But well-organised, friendly marshalls and a great location for a summer run beside the Thames. Beat my best 10k training time too! Date of review: June 7, 2010
