In full: A fantastic course to set a pb, mildly undulating, would have been quicker if it wasn't for the wind. Great organisation and prizes, sports cap water bottle at each water station. I think in time it will be as big as brass monkey and helsby. Date of review: January 20, 2013

2012 Village Bakery Half-Marathon

In full: The race was going well and so was I until I reached the nine mile point, where there was a prominent junction in the road with two directional arrows, one pointing left and one pointing right. Myself and a group of other runners all chose to go left, which would prove to be costly. Had the junction been marshalled, as all the other junctions up to that point had, there would have been no problem. Unfortunately, as I’m sure the race organiser is now reflecting, a poor decision was made by not having this junction manned.
To add insult to injury the race memento was a fruit loaf
