In short: Friendly Marshals and well organised but a little steep In full: It's not the most inspiring course in the world but it's flat, although it was unsurprisingly quite windy which proved very tough on the way out. It's perhaps a shame it can't be routed on the more sheltered path next to the canal. The race was well organised (except for the directions to the start line) and the marshals/supporters were very encouraging in Hythe. I do think it's a little pricey considering there's no roads to close (presumably that's not free) or much in the way of food/goodies at the end; I'd expected more for the £20 considering what other races provide. In short: Great race, only let down by the goodybag In full: I've run this before and it's a great course with some decent hills and varying scenery. The crowd, marshals and bag tent were great. The only real let down, as others have already stated, is the complete lack of any food in the goodybag. I'd much rather trade the tshirt for a banana or two. I'd also prefer another water station instead of the sponges which are of little use in February. Date of review: February 6, 2013
