In short: Great race, beautiful scenery
In full: Well worth doing, lovely race, very well organised. Quite challenging and bit exposed in places (windy this year). Not very many slower runners (like me), but everyone very welcoming and encouraging.

In short: Could be so fabulous, lacks atmosphere
In full: The most beautiful scenery and a lovely run, also tied in to the village festival for the 'Kilburn Feast'. I'm doing it in 2006 for the 3rd time, so it can't be that bad, but the organisers should go to Kirkbymoorside to see how they should do it! There is absolutely no interest from anyone in the village in the runners coming in, mind you neither is there any interest or encouragement from the runners who have completed the race. It could be so fab, but simply misses the mark. Each year I wonder whether to bother, but the scenery is so lovely and the race is near, so I do it again. Come on organisers, you can make this a race not to miss!

In short: An all-time favourite, wonderful for atmosphere and joy!
In full: Superb atmosphere, with the band, the supporters and the children's races just before the main 10K. My best race of the year.
