In full: My favourite local race - extremely fast course with a slight hill at 7k to keep things interesting; fantastic organisation (we were warned in plenty of time of the change to the parking arrangements due to bad weather - parking was clearly signposted); lovely 1k warm up jog to the start; a wonderful selection of biscuits etc at the end. Can't fault it.

In short: Nice and early, reasonably flat race.
In full: I love the fact this race starts so early although it was still a bit too warm for me this year! I think the organisation is superb especially with all the road closures etc. I would agree with those who say it lacks a bit of atmosphere but definitely a race I would do again.

In short: Great atmosphere but only 4.75k not 5!
In full: I know it's for charity etc etc but surely a 5k should be a 5k. My garmin measured just over 4.75k, which explains what I first thought was a great PB!

Aside from that a great venue and beautiful scenery, a fantastic atmosphere and hopefully lots of money raised for charity.

In short: Would do it again.
In full: I had accidently left my water at home and had great difficulty finding water before the race. Also, one water station at 4k was insufficient. That is my only gripe really. The £20 entry fee might seem a bit steep but it must have cost quite a bit to close all those roads. It was more hilly than expected but by no means unmanageable. The marshalls were brilliant and did a great job of cheering everyone on. I would definitely do this race again.
