Quite a number more sleeps ... but this year, we do get 2 weeks. We are now doing 'Spring break' with 2 weeks a the beginning of April, regardless of when Easter falls. At least it gets away from those 8 week terms (or the 4 week ones which had their own set of problems). However, it means we only get one week at May half-term when we used to have a short Easter and wangle 2 in May-June.
A boy in my class fell at the end of playtime. I heard he had fallen into nettles. I was a bit surprised later when they phoned his mum to take him home ... He had fallen onto metal! and had a cut head (relax, he's ok)
Yay for PBs! good to know you're on the mend too Meldy!
we went to the theatre last night to see The Three Lions - Englands World Cup bid, withDavid Cameron, David Beckham and Prince William in various hotel rooms discussing tactics, and some farcical goings on. very funny and well acted too.
today we went to Parkgate on the River Dee for lunch. It used to be a port to Ireland, but the river silted up and it is marsh, but famous for ice cream. It was high tide which is quite a rare event so all the birdwatchers were out. We have never seen it with water up to the embankment however shallow! And we had an ice cream too (it's the law)
