Break out the mulled wine and mince pies (I actually did have that yesterday at the hairdressers!) Christmas has begun. I've done the Santa Dash! Pippette ran, I walked it for the first time as I know I'm too lurgified to run. Mr P walked too so that was quite nice. I did jog the last few hundred metres tocross the finish line ... lovely morning.
the spent lunch and afternoon with family as Mr Ps youngest brother came over to sisters and we all got together to pass presents on. Oh, and get jumped on by three excited schitzus! However you spell it ...
I've spent a lovely weekend with Pippette - didn't think of saying that 10 years ago! - first in Stratford where we did the tourist stuff and went to see the Tempest. Excellent! First time I've been to Stratford since sixth form without having to run somewhere With you lot!
sunday we went to the Good food Show at the NEC for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Currently eating cheese on walnut bread.
North Wales. We had a glorious 2 days walking in sunshine. Warm in the sun, but a chill br eeze at time. Views across Cardigan Bay - wavand d to Dragon! - Snowdonia, with the high peaks white, and across to Anglesey,
We stayed Ina lovely B&B. The man took us to drop our car at one place and dropp d us off at another so we didn't have to do a circular walk. The book said it would be 12 miles. At dusk, we headed across fields (and someone's garden!) to walk along the road for the last couple of miles. GPS made it 16 miles, so no wonder it took longer than anticipated. Today we did a bit shorter but no Less lovely walk with cliff and sea and views of the mountains.
I was observed yesterday (in our 'friendly and helpful' inspection! - by local heads etc, not unfortunately by DL) and it was pretty good! Makes a change after a former colleague who only ever put me down!
Now that is over and done with - I was in bed and asleep before 9! I'm waking up about 4 or 5 and just dozing then. I think that is partly an age thing. Now I am busily trying to write a long Action plan to apply for an International Schools Award. It's not my job but I was asked to do it a couple of weeks ago with the deadline of this weekend. If the person whos job it really is had been asked to do it, she would still be twittering on about all the things that could be done, rather than ever actually doing anything .... grrr (she annoys me!)
I did have a proper run on Monday - just to be 'normal'! but not tonight ...
