Maybe that will work so you can see my set of photos - if you don't have them on FB? We had a great day walking round the coast following enormous cruise liners! The Queen Mary left Liverpool and met the other two ships at the mouth of the river. A bit misty to start, but it made it seem quite otherworldly as these massive ships floated soundlessly down the river. They turned round past Liverpool, waited for a bit, then the Queen Mary 2 sailed out while the Queen Elizabeth berthed. I think the Victoria is going out later - they can only berth one at a time!
Hope to get some photos, yes! See how long I can bear the crowds and how Mr P is bearing up ... He has pulled something in his chest (muscle or something) painful but not heart related serious. We walked down to the river and back this afternoon and he was okay. It's all day by day though .
Pippette was off yesterday so baked some blueberry muffins... a bit odd, but she blames the cheap paper cases! We will eat them!
I've had a short ride this morning. Still trying to get 'at home' on a bike again, but it has been so windy I keep putting it off. New Brighton (ie our seasidey bit) is gearing up for a big weekend as the 3 Queens are coming - it's the 150th anniversary of Cunard so the the Queens Mary Victoria and Elizabeth cruise ships are coming together.
Amandax, I have been looking at your holiday photos. We have just booked 2 cottages in Cornwall in August. We ahven't been since Pippette was a baby - just begun to crawl. We didn't really like it so haven't been back, but thought we'd give them another chance, 26 years on! Actually my friends who lived in Devon and went regularly on Cornish holidays said they hadn't thougth much of the area we went to either. Mr P doesn't feel up to camping (it's a sleeping bag he's worried about) and even though 2 months might (hopefully will!) make a difference, we thought if we weren't roughing it at the last minute we really ought to book something!
