Perfect... only problem is getting bike back from T2... Do they transport your swim stuff from T1 to T2 I presume?
Any one know if you are able to pick your bike up on the Monday? Last year's info suggests T2 is only open until midnight to collect the bike... which is no good for those people finishing after ~15 hours
Well raced all those that finished, and commiserations to those that didn't for whatever reason. Felt particularly sorry for GB (I'm guessing? who I saw walking pretty early on the bike, but was OK when I asked on the way past).
That was me... Don't worry I had an enjoyable day still. Long standing puncture problem showed it's ugly head again as I got my second puncture after just 33km. Decided to then just have a nice jog back to transition... though 6km with barefeet pushing my bike has left my calves in a bit of a state ever since. Got a few funny looks and told a few people I was just practicnig my transitions
Amazing to see so many people stopping/slowing down to offer inner tubes to a stranger.
Was a bit gutting as I wanted to go for a decent time and position. ~34m for the swim and was holding over 34kph for the bike so believed I was on for a 4:35 total for the race. Wasn't my A, or even B race though, hence only taking 1 inner tube. Ho hum...
Decided to hang around the feedstation for a while before moving on to the run course to shout at a few club friends. Sorry I had to dash off quite early and didnt meet many of you.
