In short: A well organised race with a great feel to it.
In full: Have done this race once before and it has improved since, support and marshelling has always been excellent, but now with chip timeing, water bottles and better toilets. A great start behind a marching band, and even though I was in costume so started near the back it was still well supported. Weather was perfect, the hills did not seem so bad either!!

In short: Always a great starting race for the year
In full: Even better this year, it might have been cold but at least the wind stayed away. The organisation and support was great with water bottles and great prizes as a bonus. I always bring new runners getting ready for London and will continue to do so. Thanks to everyone involved.

In short: A good well supported event
In full: The weather added a little more to the challenge of this excellent run. Always well supported, well organised and well marshelled.
The course starts with some small up hills, then drops for a faster middle section, then a final uphill finish.
The prize varies every year and I quite like the mug, as I have my hot tea I will remember the wet and windy conditions!

I'll be back again next year.

In short: A magnificent race through outstanding scenery, I enjoyed every bit.
In full: Having completed the Picinc earlier in the year I was worry that this might be nearly as bad, but without all those steps keeping a rythem going was much easier. It was good fun trying to follow the trail of green marks and tape and don't think I took any wrong turns. The organisation was brillient, the marshels very encouraging and helpful. The venue for the start and finish helped greatly being able to shower then a full English to start recovery. Everybody was very friendly and my Union Jack outfit generated much cheering by supports and the public around the course.
I hope this is not the only time this race is organised and would seriously contemplate another go, not to beat my time but to enjoy the views along the way again.

Thanks Dr Rob and everybody who made our day one to remember.

In short: A great event, tough it really is but it is so well run and supported.
In full: This had it all, thank goodness it wasn't too hot, those steps are real killers and when you know you have more to come.... some great runs through the woods, plenty of water stops with sweets.
Marshalls were brillient, very supportive.
From starting with God Save the Queen to finishing with applause and a real picnic this has to be the best run I have ever done.

In short: A great race for all abilities
In full: This race has it all for all types of runners. A carnival atmosphere at the start, a fun run for family members, but for the 10 mile you have a few inclines to get the heart rate up, small county lanes and village roads where supports can see you a few times on the way round. Chip timing was a plesant surprise this year. The weather made things a bit more damp than was plesant but that's Britain for you. I'll be back next year.

In short: Great place, great race, Great Bentley
In full: This years changes including the chip timing really worked. Everything about the race makes it a fantastic event what ever the weather. Spectators can see the runners several times without going very far, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. This is a great race to start on the road to the London Marathon and I shall be back in 2010 with more rookey runners.

In short: One of the best, smaller but friendly, marathons out there.
In full: What a day! The event is so well supported by local clubs and as you wind round the country lanes there are pockets of friends and supporters who cheer eveyone on. The heat was exceptional so the pace was slower than normal and I was glad to see I wasn't the only one suffering the last few miles.
I would like to thank all those that marshelled and help organise such a great event. See you next year...

In short: Weather perfect, marshals fantastic, but most of I made it.
In full: My first ultra, spent the first 22 miles at the rear, which was a little worrying, but I kept my pace and mad it with time to spare. A small race but so well run and marshalled, I wish I could thank them all. There were lots of first time runners, and everyone did really well, with most runners supprisingly mobile afterwards.
