In short: Lack of marshall at crucial junction on the course
In full: I had looked forward to this local scenic flat race for months. Lost sight of first bloke, who was following the bike, come to a junction, no marshall. Took wrong turn. Soon realised race was over. So so dissapointed, was second at the time. Jogged in. Many others, behind me also went wrong.
The lady organisor, to be fair was very apologetic. I had to get the dissapointment out of my system, so I went back later in the afternoon and ran the correct course, on my own. I am not angry anymore. Afterall it was all for a really wortwhile charity, but I will never know could I have caught up the bloke in front and won the race. There is always next year.

In short: Brilliant, friendly 10k
In full: On a lovely sunny Sunday, the scenic Lee Valley 10k was brilliantly organised, well marshalled and well supported. Personally I managed to finish the 10k in time to run the 3k Fun Run with my 6yr old. He ran all the way and loved it. A brilliant day. Thanks to D Coffey and team for the organisation.

In short: nice well organised local run, the heat made it more of a challenge, but it was only 10 miles.
