In short: Feels just like a longer Parkrun!
In full: This is just a brilliant race, I can't rate it too highly. I was worried the small field would mean lots and lots of fats runners, but, no, it felt just like a Parkrun. No tension, a real relaxed feel about it. If you are a first timer, its a great race to start for a 10k.

Brilliant organisation, loads of marshalls, overall downhill course, mars bars, Mars Bar drink, free parking for runners and a £5 Sweatshop voucher...

Run under trees, it would be good in the sun too.

Just a brilliant race. Thank you Marshalls.

In short: That hill doesnt get any easier...
In full: Again, a well organised race. The hill stops any chance of a PB for most, and I dont find it an easy course. But for some reason its an enjoyable race, good support, lots of marshallls and helpers. Well done Handy Cross...

In short: Great value race and challenging!!
In full: This review is for Princes Risboro, not Hughendon.

A real snip at £12, entries on the day an extra £2, I think. Great value. Well organised, well supported, fantastic marshalls. Scenary great, it may be more difficult in the sun, altho a 9.30 start good.

A small but v friendly field 250 - 300 I would say, with a mixture of club and non-club runners.

Not an easy course at all, quite undulating. Mug and orange juice at the end. Dont bother paying £50 to enter London 10k, when you can do this one instead. Well done VOAAC!!!

In short: Lovely village-y atmosphere
In full: Great race, plenty of toilets at start. Small field, about 100-120, but it has children and fun runners, so friendly.

Entry fee not cheap, esp when you can get a PR for free on a Saturday, but the organisation is efficient, theres water on the way round, and it has a more race-y feel than a PR, which reflects in the entry fee.(there is a proper start and finish, and timing clock, for example)
Nice race, well done, Purple Patch.

In short: Brilliant
In full: Well organised, turn up on the day and enter! Not an easy course, but there were plenty of children who entered it, so not lung bursting. Nice village atmosphere. Well worth it, a fiver for the five miler, £7 for the 10 miler, which was two laps. Thank you Thornborough.

In short: Good race, and well done race organisers
In full: Yes, there was a prob at the start, but the reactions and decision making by the organisers made the prob not as great as it seemd. My Garmin was over mileage too? Not a prob... good race.... nice to see children helping out. Good weather too. Plenty of water stops. Well done.

In short: Not a Fun Run but FANTASTIC!!
In full: Testing course, 2 laps for the 10 mile run. Bargain price, fantastic marshalling. Lovely scenary. The course was either up or down with long hills rather than steep ones, but there were simply LOADS of children doing it, so it cant be that bad!
Do it for a fun day with the Family!!

In short: Itsworth it for the goody bag!
In full: Great organisation, maybe more loos needed (arent there always).Hill at start a real misery, things can only get better from there. Absolutely fantastic goody bag... tech t-shirt, and lots of lovely little goodies.
Good parking around the event. Lady who won the Half a real star!!!!!! A challenging 10k.

In short: Thank you Marshalls
In full: I am always appreciative of Marshalls, but this year they were Saints. I saw 1 Lady at 8.30, at the car park, soaking wet directing Runners. Then I saw her again at 11.00, at the finish sorting people out, still soaking wet.

I agree with all the comments made before. But for me, it was the Marshalls who made it.

In short: The hills dont get easier
In full: A great race, well organised. This year, 1 more water stop and the mile markers at mile 3 and 6 a welcome addition. Also, there seemed to be less styles?

A difficult hilly race. Forget mile splits and race times. Enjoy it for it is, a chance to run in fantastic countryside.

Well done Tring
