In short: Potentially a great race. Small improvements would make it worth the long drive down. In full: As close as it is to Land's End, it is a shame that the long drive to reach it is not rewarded with a few better views and small organisational glitches left me feeling abit short-changed. A small field meant that us slower ones were running on our own for most of the way round at the back and with few supporters out on the route, I felt I was just on a training run. They ran out of medals for everyone and the ladies' loos were disgusting beforehand (no paper which can be vital with pre-race nerves!). I would recommend this race to anyone who is good enough to keep up with the faster runners and for anyone who happens to be within a few miles of the area anyway, but I wouldn't travel down to it especially. Excellent that it was an evening start though. The good intentions were there and I think it could become a great event in time. Date of review: September 3, 2004

In short: Bad weather didn't help. But mess-up on the organisation side too. Disappointing given the hype and apparent demand for entries. Date of review: August 24, 2004
