In short: Most enjoyable, had done it last year and forgotten about the big hill!
In full: I've done this twice now, I came back as I enjoyed the whole event last year, even though I remember struggling, and once again I struggled- a combination of heat and one especially long uphill drag. I would, after all that, still do it again next year, its really well organised and the people running it were really friendly and supportive.

In short: Well organised event though it does seem to be more uphill than downhill or flat

In short: Great to run round an F1 track!
In full: Most enjoyable, well organised, the varying weather conditions were interesting, and the wind did beat me into walking part of the last 4 miles.

In short: Most Enjoyable Scenic Run
In full: Bad Points
1. Cars queuing to get in at the beginning.
2. The course was too narrow at the beginning. If you start mid-pack or near the back it's quite congested, so a PB may be difficult to achieve if caught up in the melee.

Good Points.
1. Well organised.
2. Well marshalled.
3. Excellent scenery.
4. Great Route, good mixture of hilly & flat.

In short: It was like going back to school & doing cross country again.
In full: All of my previous runs, either 10K or half, have been on road so this was a new experience for me, mostly grass and track. The hill just before 4k is quite intimidating especially running on grass surface for the 1st time, and the section around 7-8km in the woods was quite treacherous. Thanks to No.147(or 174, chap in a Blue Ronhill shirt) who I was using as a marker for my pace, and ended up sprinting the last 60m against. I enjoyed the experience of different terrains, not sure if I'll do it again though.

In short: Wasn't overly impressed.
In full: To start with the heat was a killer, but there was nothing the organisers could do about that. At the beginning, as runners do I needed the Loo but the queue was mammoth for the portaloos so I walked round to Trafalger Square to use the ones there.
I wasn't impressed by the mile walk from the bag drop off point to the start, and I was especially not impressed with the 35 minute wait from the official race start time to getting through the start line. After 2 miles I seriously considered cheating and crossing the road to join the runners who had already gone passed the half way mark. The consideration was due to the heat, and being peeved that I had to wait an extra 35 minutes to start. The organisers need to find a better start point where they can filter 30000 people through more quickly.

In short: Most enjoyable, and challenging as well.
In full: Good range of runners. very well organised. Plenty of water stations, I would have preferred bottles of water at every station instead of cups, but that's me being picky. Sponges are a good touch.Loads of support. Nice special 25th year medal at the end.

In short: Cracking Scenery!
In full: What a most enjoyable run, plenty of variation with off road sections, hilly sections and lovely scenery. Not too many entrants to make it overcrowded. Well organised.I should think I will be back again next year. My daughter did her first fun run and was very proud to receive a finishers medal, which was a little unexpected bonus.

In short: Well organised run, great for new & experienced half marathon runners
In full: A most enjoyable run if you're an F1 fan, running on this great circuit. An enjoyable run if you're not an F1 fan. Exceptionally well organised with loads of marshalls and support all the way around and enough drinks dished out throughout the course to keep you going. I really enjoyed it, and got myself a PB, knocking 20 minutes off my Great North Run time.

In short: Excellent, though heavily congested.
In full: This was my first half marathon, I've done a few 10km races previously, and I found it difficult to keep an even pace, which I'd done during training. I found myself slowing down and speeding up as I came up to people in front of me. This slightly tarnished my expectations of the race, but for the rest I found it very enjoyable and exceptionally well organised. I look forward to next year.
