In short: Enjoyable Race
In full: This is a well organised event on a fun course. An excellent race for beiginners and club runners alike.
An earlier start would be beneficial, especially for a summer race. Also more water at the finish would be good.
Excellent value, nice medal and goody bag.
Will do this again!

In short: So much potential......
In full: This race has the potential to be a great event. It just needs one ingrediant. 'Organisation'.
The queues of traffic to get into the carpark were frustrating. A race with a limit of 2200 runners should have more than one entrance to the car park. A three year old could work that out. The state of the car parks wasunfortunate due to the weather. Upon arriving I was informed that the course had to be altered due to the conditions and that there were no mile markers! No one really knew where the start for the race was and the tanoy system was very inadequate. There was no audible sound to signal the start of the race, which in my opinion is unforgiveable. Even a decent whistle would have been better. The goody bag at the end was crap! The price had been hiked up a fair bit this year but there was no evidence to suggest why. At just a few quid short of London entry a lot more is expected.

It wasn't all bad though. This race is still run for an excellent cause, and I hope a lot of money was raised. The marshalls out on the course were superstars. Bitterly cold blustery conditions and they were still cheering, clapping and encouraging every single runner. Water stations were adequate and very well manned. The course is excellent and a pleasure to run. The atmosphere at the finish was great and finishers medal very welcome.

I am in two minds as to whether to enter next year. It is hard to stress what a great event this could be with just a little more organisation.

So much potential.....
