In short: one of the best halfs around
In full: don't be put off by the hills (of which there are many). this half was fantastically organised and thoroughly enjoyable - the views are amazing which make up for all the steep sections. i managed to run my best time in nearly two years...somehow... :)

In short: this is one of my all-time favourite races
In full: this half is fantastic - really well organised, great scenery and challenging. the hills are definitely hard work but it makes for a good, varied run. the momento (glass paper weight with two runners etched inside) is the best i've ever received and demonstrates how much effort is put in to organising this race. a massive thanks to the all the marshals who were really encouraging despite the awful weather they had to stand around in! only gripe would be that those giving out race numbers at hq on the day need to speed up a bit so that everyone can get to the start on time!

In short: really good event
In full: really enjoyable race - i found the first 5 miles and the last mile quite challenging esp in the sun but this made for a good varied run. i think runners would have benefited from some additional marshals though as occassionally i found myself moving from the left to right hand side of the road because other runners ahead of me were, for no apparent reason!

In short: a good sunday morning outing though the constant loops got a bit annoying as did all the congestion at the end

In short: tough run but very scenic. poor organisation ruined it for me. wouldn't do it again.
In full: tough course which really is multi terrain with plenty of hills and undulating parts. very badly organised race, turned up early and was turned away from main car park which wasn't even full! no mile markers on the course which wouldn't be too bad if the marshals knew what they were talking about (one says 2 miles left and another further along says 3!!!). also got misdirected at one point just to add insult to injury. the waiting around at the stiles was a bit frustrating; coaster and water only at the end was also disappointing. only great thing about this race was the beautiful scenery.

In short: really good event
In full: a really good event that was well organised with friendly marshalls. a challenging hill at 5k but aside from that a decent course which would probably suit beginners too. it's great that the results were posted so quickly too!
