In short: Brilliant organisation and large supportive crowds.
In full: Even better than last year! Biggest crowds that I have seen, especially through Saltram and going up to Hoe, where you really need support! Got a PB, but very tired at end. Good challenging course. Would reccomend it to anyone.

In short: This is a rating for 2006 race. first Grizzly for me, hope to be back again and again.
In full: It is easy to see why this race is so popular, despite being so tough. Brilliant organization, best marshalls in the world, unique course, great atmosphere, and one of the drinks stations provided beer!

In short: Amazing course, good atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed it.
In full: Did this one last year as well, not quite so muddy this time, but just as challenging. Atmosphere on the course was great, and whole experience very invigorating. Still think that £20 for a half is a bit steep though!

In short: Brilliant organisation, great race, tough finish.
In full: Must be the best organized race around. Plenty of helpfull marshalls, and start and finish run like clockwork. Free food and drink at finish with no queues! Other races could learn a thing or two!. Good crowds around the course, especially on hills at Saltram and the finish, where you really need support. Could not recommend it too highly.

In short: Feel a bit mean after reading other peoples ratings, lots of people obviously enjoyed this one. Not a favourite of mine though.
In full: Organisers were very helpfull in sorting out my late entry. Also thought marshalls were supportive and friendly, but did feel that start could have been better organised..a bit of a free for all. Also found it a bit strange running past bemused looking tourists on sea-front. Not many supporters on route compared to other halfs. Find out and back courses a bit dispiriting myself, but I know that others like them. Will probably be back next year, despite the moan!

In short: Did the half. £20 seemed a bit steep, but well organised and enjoyable. Tough race, made harder by mud,mud and more mud. Look forward to doing it again next year.

In short: Not the most interesting of courses. Start disorganized and congested. Little encouragement from marshalls.Atmosphere as flat as the course.
