In short: Would only do it again because it's so local! Nice first attempt, but could have been better. In full: Big delay at the start due to organisational problems, boring PA reading out what seemed to be the entire contents of the race pack while we waited! =(
The course itself was good, taking in the sights of Northampton, but the two sections where you ran up a road only to do a u-turn and run back on yourself was a little frustrating.
Overall it was ok, nice and local for me too so I'll be back, but would like to see the parking situation fixed next year. Had to sit cramping up in the car for a good half an hour while they sorted out the kid's race and didn't let any cars out!
In short: not too bad run, shame about the weather for us slow-coaches! In full: Perfect runnign weather to start with but then by about 9 miles for us we were faced with long stretches of exposed paths with hail and strong winds to contend with =(. Could have done with a few mroe signposts aroubnd the site, as we ended up parking in the car park next to the finish, and then wandering aimlessly (following other groups doing the same) to try and find the start or baggage. Also, why put the baggage pick-up so far away from the finish? Date of review: March 9, 2009
In short: Crowds make PB almost impossible In full: Took ten minutes to cross the start line, lack of any form of chip timing makes for disappointing 'official time'. Hardly worth them sending out certificates for. Should be fixed next year when they introduce chip timing. Date of review: November 14, 2004
In short: Undulating..... no kidding! In full: Excellent weather for running let me shave 15 mins off my PB on this course today. Great course (although exposed and so could be tough in heavy winds\rain), great organisation, thanks! Date of review: November 14, 2004
