In short: Third time this race has been run, and third time the organisation has been terrible! Save your time & money and run another Half.

In short: Yet again another well organised race...the organisers could teach the Birmingham Half Marathon a thing or two!!

In short: A race that is OK…still needs improving.
In full: Before everyone criticiseses my comments I know this is only the second half my have held, but I must still say there are better and faster courses out there. First of all the staggered start needs to be better controlled only allowing people with the correct bid colour into the corresponding pen (this will only get worse as competitor numbers increase), I was held up by the “Fun” runners plodding along 3 or 4 abreast. Next the course is an improvement on last year but again does not show off the better side of Brum, also it is still fairly undulating (there are definitely faster courses out there, try Wolverhampton Half). I could not fault the support, one of the better events I have completed this year apart from the London marathon. As others have mentioned the event needs to accommodate the public transport situation (had to get the wife to drop me off as buses/trains would not get me into the city centre on time for the start!). The goody bag was a big disappointment considering the price we pay for entry (teabags and cranberry sauce are not well received when all you want is a banana and a chocolate bar!). Overall I would say the race was better than last year but not by much.

In short: A fast undulating course.
In full: Start could of been better...why were there cars passing through the crowd at the start? Dangerous if you ask me. Also, part of the course on open roads with traffic in both directions.

In short: A rather dull, un-inspiring, very undulating course! Organsiation at start was a little poor.
In full: Like many others I was expecting a lot more from this race. There are key areas that need to be improved for next years run, but for a first effect it was not too bad. As mentioned before I would also prefer an out and back course, and a slightly later start to allow people to use public transport to get to the start (using the stadium seemed a waste of time and effect)
