In short: Improvements needed In full: As this is the first year of the race errors are to be expected. Not enough toilets and they were far from the start, when you got to the start it was hard to see where you had to be. There were spectators and runners all mixed in. The start area was narrow and no pacers or markers for people to know where to line up for expected time. The path along the river is too narrow to overtake with lots of people. An energy gel or drink half way would be good. The t.shirt was reasonable, but maybe look at dri fit, but an excellent medal, if you did a different one each year people would more likely try to collect them. Also noticed on web site is says ballot for 2016 -why not first come first served? All in all though, not a bad first time event.
In short: Good race, hills, closed roads, excellent going through Wembley In full: A good race, well organized. Except for the car park, pre brought ticket - fine, but on the day not being check until you turned into the lane to park and only one man doing this. Should have had more people checking the cars in the queue whilst they were still on the road. Took over an hour to get out after the event! Date of review: March 16, 2015
In short: Good race, need to be fairly fit. In full: This is the first time I have entered this race, everyone I spoke to told me it was tough and they were right. Maybe if it had not been the hottest day of the year, but the organisers coped well.I think another water station at 7/8K would have been good. Also if the finish run in had been through the avenue of trees it would have been better and cooler.Maybe an earlier start next year to avoid the heat. But still a good race. In short: signs showing you where to park would have been very helpful! In full: The only complaint(except the boiling sun) is that you were not shown where to park until you had entered the wrong park entrance and then had to u-turn and battle the traffic again. Date of review: June 14, 2009
