In short: Should have just gone for a run round the park
In full: I did the earlier 11.30 race and agree with everything mentioned by the person below:
= late start (30 mins)
= too few toilets
= no t-shirts left when I registered
= no KM markers
= no clock
= no encouragement from the marshalls
= no atmosphere
I'm not sure what I got for my money other than a number.
Won't be doing another of these events.

In short: Great test of new year (un)fitness!
In full: Cold, wind, mud and the hills - twice! Didn't want to go round the second time but somehow managed to get round. Thanks for the flapjack, it kept me going up the hill at 7 miles! Not sure why but I will be back next year!

In short: A real challenge but great scenery
In full: 20 miles, map reading, hills and off road made this a real challenge and a great pre New York warm up.

Lack of mile markers and scenery made the 20 miles pass much quicker than they seem to on a lap or two round a town centre or industrial estate.

Thanks to everyone in front of me who could follow the instructions and to organsisers for the Mars Bars at the check points.

In short: Hotter and hillier than expected.
In full: Good traffic free route but two laps round the industrial estate isn't particulary inspiring.
Plenty of toilets, water and marshalls. Well organised.
