In short: A surprisingly brilliant day, run 105 laps yes if its with the Sandbach Striders WELL DONE
In full: Very good organisation, excellent encouragement especially from microphone man, and jellybaby vaseline girl, sorry didnt get names. A runners race. I really wasnt sure whether i would enjoy this, but falling into step with another runner for 40laps helped a lot, Support trackside was BRILL from faster runners, organisers, and of course MICK N PHIL.

In short: For a new route this was excellent, very well marshalled, support stations,a coule gentle hills.
In full: Well done organisers, I personally preferred the old flat route, but realise it had limited expansion potential . This years had it all great race HQ, start n finish at the racecourse. City centre loop at the start with usual Chester classy scenery , riverside last mile -again iconic Chester. An to top it off lovely rural villages of Cheshire and neighbouring Wrexham County.Recommended

In short: AWESOME SCENERY,big thanks to my new pal Ig, advice find someone to chat with & that 4mile hill is acheivable
In full: DEFINATELY RECOMMENDED- surely we cant get better London preparation that this , 20miles with these hills MUST be equivalent to a marathon ? I managed 3hrs 41 for this & and got a great sence of acheivment- big thanks organisers, marshals esp with mars bars, fellow runners giving encouragement- the guy who told me to look at the last reservoir water cascading over the dam -simply awesome, & thanks to robbie williams/tina turner/shirley bassy/katherine jenkins & trelawnyd male voice choir on my mp3player ! Oh the cheeky hill at around 18miles, but knowing thats over the finish not far ahead, i even sprinted to pass someone 10m from the line - shows i should have gone faster earlier. For anyone travelling north afterwards i recommend the chipshop by the traffic lights in Newtown.

In short: great race for North Wales/Wirral Cheshire runners, club runners and unattached a good mix, and with snacks available in the social club after changing , great
In full: a favourite amoungst Buckley runners with a good turnout especially in July & August. The fact that the same race is run June to September means you can assess your fitness throughout the summer ! Big Thanks to the Deestiders club. And a great yellow towel for those who signed up for the whole series this summer.

In short: excellent cos my first time there, my first 5mile race =pb, read the info re hills and enjoy
In full: I regularly /weekly run a hilly 5mile as a training run, today was v enjoyable, aiming for low 40smins, or under 40, finished in 39:18 =well pleased. I did talk to others about the hills before the race, and studies the race info, also as we crossed the A55 northwards, returning southwards led to a few 100mtr steep bit, then another few 100mtrs less steep- then a nice downhill to finish. Well done aberegele. Rob in Mold.
