In short: Fantastic little race in the Sussex countryside.
In full: I would thoroughly recommend this little race in Slinfold in memory of Alf Shrubb. The course was two laps through fields and farm tracks and over two styles. It was slippery in places due to the rain yesterday but not too bad. It was well marshalled and marked. There was a lovely atmosphere.
The only improvement could be provision of another toilet for the ladies as one is just not enough when there is a queue!
I will certainly try and do this race again next year. I hope it doesn't get too popular though as there are quite a few narrow bits and there could be queues over the styles.

In short: Very muddy yet quick race
In full: I thoroughtly enjoyed the race although the mud in the woods held me up a lot and I saw a couple of people lose their shoes! The marshalls were great too. The only improvement could have been to provide a cople of portaloos as the ladies queue was out the door which didn't help when you needed to leave 10mins to get to the start. I had to gave up on the loo queue.
Otherwise a good race.

In short: Great race for a sunny winters day
In full: This was a relaxed event that attracted both fast and fun runners for a jaunt throught the lovely countryside. The ground was generally good considering the rain/frost/ice but with the obligatory mud to make it an interesting race! The mile markers were very appreciated so I knew how far we had to go. A race I would recommend to others.

In short: Friendly well organised race
In full: After a miserable Saturday, Sunday turned out to be a great day for running around the roads of Barns Green. The organisation was as good as ever, course well marked, water stops well manned, crowds excellent and I got a pb for the BG course! Thank you to everyone involved in this village organised run.

In short: What a way to start the year! Mud and hills..
In full: All I expected and more, not for the faint hearted. 4 steep ups and 4 steep downs with mud, tree roots, stepping stones, a bridge, and loads of steps. Enjoyable but boy do my quads ache today.

In short: As ever a great boxing day run
In full: The mud made this a different run to last year. I think times were slower but I still had a good run. Excellent decision to get portaloos as this sped up the loo queue!
This friendly event is a must for boxing day.

In short: Weather was terrible, down hill was great, up hill was 'challenging'. Would recommend.
