In short: A let down compared to previous years events
In full: I guess that the race has become a victim of its own success. I don't want to appear negative as a lot of hard work goes into organising these events for the benefit of us all. However the finish was shambolic. I had to queue for 1.5 minutes to cross the finish line and with people walking in and out of the queue it made a nonsense of the results and times. Thought must also be given to arranging a more organised start. The parking again was difficult, there simply does not seem to be enough space allocated. The atmosphere probably wasn't helped by the weather but was flat. I wont mention the goodie bag as I think we've been spoilt in previous years. On a positive note the marshalls were plentiful and helpful, the medal was impressive and my children enjoyed the fun runs and were pleased with their medals. I'm sure that Tim and his colleagues are determined to learn by this years mistakes and will ensure that next years race is a success.

In short: In a word "incredible"
In full: What an experience. Unbelievable support from the crowds, impeccable organisation providing a memory that will last forever. Slow start due to the number of runners and very hot conditions but don't let that detract from an amazing experience. Now I know why it's the best race in the world. Any runner should have this on their list of "must do's"

In short: Excellent race again
In full: Really enjoyed this race. The marshalling was excellent, the scenery superb (although I'm biased as I live locally) and the atmosphere inspiring. The course was interesting and undulating but I still managed to knock 22 seconds off my pb. A definite for next year

In short: Well organised race, great course and very fast. Pedestrians often got in the way and atmosphere seemed a bit flat this year.

In short: Scenic race and well marshalled
In full: Although I am relatively local to Shifnal there was a distinct lack of sign posts to direct us to the race headquarters for registration. The start was approx. a mile from the registration and although a map was supplied a marshal directing us to the start would have been a good idea. However, the race itself was run through some lovely villages and there was quite a lot of support from the locals and marshals. The facilities at the finish were good and there were plenty of drinks stations, which were a god send considering the overwhelming temperatures.

In short: In a word - superb !!!!!
In full: Heard a lot about this race prior to running it and have to say it certainly lived up to expectations. Only down side was the congestion at the start and trying to squeeze over the canal bridge. However the marshal's were brilliant, lots of encouragement from the spectators and the overall organisation was top class. Lots going on to entertain the whole family and the fun runs were great for the children. Finally must mention the generosity of Muller for supplying an unbelievable goody bag and endless pots of yoghurt. A cast iron certainty for next year.

In short: Excellent race. Will definitely do it next year.
In full: Thanks to Telford Harriers for a challenging but superb race. The atmosphere was excellent with plenty of support. Bit of a mix up at the start but the Marshalls were plentiful and very encouraging all the way along. I liked the advanced warning of the drinks stations and the glass goblet made a nice change to a medal.
