In short: first one2go race and loved it
In full: What a lovely race, marshalls and runners very supportive, scenery was great and trying to not get mesmorised by the water and not falling in. Seeing the houseboats along the way, but what a warm day out, thankyou for a lovely day out and sorry for being so slow, :0(

In short: Great organisation....very friendly race
In full: I decided to do this about 2 weeks ago, and i am so pleased that i did. Everyone of the helpers were encouraging and so friendly.
A bargain entry fee, and only a medal at the end, that is not a critism its nice to know that all the money goes to the charity and not on mugs and t-shirts etc.
Other runners were encouraging also, i really had a great day and will look forward to returning to run again next year.
A big thankyou to the couple who help organise it and running with there dog, it was nice to have a chat with you both and pass a few miles away, and thankyou for thanking me and using me for your pacing. I am not that hard to miss as i am a large target to aim for.
Do this as one of your marathons, a great one to support.

In short: Very well organised
In full: Well what can i say? A fantastic marathon, normally i would class this type of terrain as undulating but having put on 2stone and not getting out to train i found it very hilly (but that is my fault)
Plenty of toilets at the start...it started on time....marshalls were all very encouraging as were all the drink and sponge station helpers...i was given support and encouragement all the way around.
This was a very well organised event and i would recommend it to everyone.
Thankyou very much to the sweeper lady on the bike....along with all the finish line helpers, sorry i was so slow and made you all hang around for so long.
I was the last runner, 6h10m. great medal...great t-shirt and thankyou for the beer. Hope to see you all next yera and i get some training in.

In short: Thankyou runners!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In full: Thankyou runners!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As one of the four marshalls at the 7 and 17 mile mark i would just like to say how much we also enjoyed the day, we really had fun cheering, encourageing and helping you all have a safe and fun event.
Having so many of you say thankyou is a real feelgood factor in helping out at future events.
We must have had over 95% of you either say thankyou or even give us a thumbs up.
I am also a runner and with probably hundreds of races over the years along with triathlon it is good to try the other side of the fence for a change.
So to each and everyone of you, "WELL DONE" you all did fantastic and "GOOD LUCK" for your next event.

In short: TOUGH BUT FUN
In full: This was the first running of this race and i only entered it at the last minute and i am glad that i did, the race was a tough one, but fun all the marshalls were great and happy, and the water/wine stations were servrd fantastically.
All aid stations had wine and water, along with Gels, and then they had either biscuits, jelly babies and more and with them being every 2 miles i did not have to carry a drink with me.
The scenery was great in places and stunning in otheres and the organisation was top class, Denbies was a great location to start and finish the race.
Events to live staff are friendly and being runners/triathletes themselves they know how to put on an event, top class.
I look forward to doing it again next year, and if i am fit enough i may try the marathon instead, i did 2.51 and i still had plenty of other competitors around me.
SO JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In short: Pleased that i was with past participants
In full: Overall a great race, i did the full 42k and found it quite challenging, but mainly due to my lack of long training runs.
My ankles feel as though someone has hit them with a sledgehammer and i do ache a fair bit, i got lost??? a couple of times but mainly due to me not looking where i was going and losing concentration towards the end. Enloyed the friendly marshalls and other runners. well done to all whatever distance you decided to go for.

In short: Great organisation
In full: Even though i was a support driver for the winning ladies vets team (25)normally big events like this are not very well organised and have many things go wrong,i thought the organisation was great, only one complaint and that is the gate to the field at the Harting down changeover could have been open early in the morning rather than when the whole car park was choco-block.
As a veteran of 43 marathons, even though i had no running kit with me it was hard not to enter on the day and see how i got on (because the buzz at the start was electric)Everyone did great, i really enjoyed the atmosphere, well done to you all.
Next year i will do the marathon, just to see how i get on

In short: well organised, and plenty of drinks at the water stations
In full: This is the 4th time of running this marathon and it always seems to be very warm, and this year was no exception, just pleased that it now starts at 9.30am and not 1pm as it use to.The water stations were very well marshalled and had plenty to offer and i found marshalls to be 99% friendly, but then i did say thankyou to most of them and they all replied with a thankyou back.On car park charges up until 2-3 years ago we use to get a voucher that we put in our car window and only had to pay £3 for all day parking why this is not available i do not know? I did find the greenway 2nd time round very, very warm as no shade and after the past few weeks with hail rain and snow it did seem a lot warmer than it actually was.
