In short: A well organised event in an attractive village In full: This is a well organised event, held in an attractive Kent village, which has a pleasant community atmosphere. As Weald is on a hill the course inevitably spends most of the first 5km descending, leaving a long haul to the finish. The countryside helps to distract from the effort and the gradient is fairly shallow, except for the punishing slope just before the finishing straight. Date of review: November 7, 2007

In short: A well organised run with plenty of marshalls and an attractive course In full: This is a well established and well organised run. I managed to lose my number but it was replaced with a new one by the information desk staff in moments. The route is well chosen to make the most of country lanes and there are plenty of marshalls at the trickier junctions. You have to park a fair way from the start so I'll get there a bit earlier next year! Date of review: March 12, 2006

In short: A flat out and back course along closed wide roads. The start could have been a bit better organised and it was a little crowded at first but overall it was a well organised race with a good atmosphere. Date of review: October 6, 2005

In short: Undulating, mainly on earthen farm tracks, with one fairly steep climb on grass. Quite challenging for Essex. Well organised with a friendly village atmosphere. Date of review: May 2, 2005
