In short: Good course, but need to sort out the first 1/2 mile.
In full: Good course once it got going, but having to have 100's of runners on a pavement at the start was ridiculous. Having a road closure for 10mins would have been much better. No obvious start line and need proper chip timing. A good rural course and I ran the 2nd half 3mins faster, so pleased with the time. Good marshalling and very encouraging too. Good event centre and parking. Need a few bogs at the start. Mediocre medal. Just need to sort the start out and I'd definately return.

In short: Good conditions, good course, good marshalling
In full: The bus idea worked well, worth implementing again even when the local road works are complete. Quite a big field, maybe a smaller limit needed as roads a bit congested with runners in the first few miles. Good course though, with a few undulations. 2nd half was quicker due to the long downhill - and it always feels good to neg split. Very good rugby style shirt. Thanks to the marshalls who must have been freezing.

In short: Good course, thank heavens it was dry!
In full: Good undulating course over varied terrain. Would have been hard work in the ploughed field if wet, but luckily dry so ok. Instructions are quite well written and helpful, but if you were to ever come off the route there is no way of getting back without a map. Some people had printed the map off the internet, but most didn't know about it. Just hand us all a map next time please! Encouraging mashalls at the drinks stops. Easy parking. I'll be back as it's something a bit different.

In short: Undulating and scenic low key event
In full: Well organised for a small scale event. Good marshalling. Could probably do with 1 more water stop. Easy to park etc right at the venue. Long hills but never steep so challenging without being over the top. I'll run again. Preferred the coloured T shirt of last year.

In short: Good race, one hill early on. I'll be back.
In full: Good race. One hill at the start plus the downhill at about 6 miles in. Otherwise a flat course. I would guess at about 2 or 3 mins slower than a flat course. Very good medal plus an average T-shirt. Good value. Good mashalling who had a difficult job with the traffic especially near Loudwater. I'd definately run again.
A couple of minor gripes: Need to get in some portaloos and not rely on insufficient on site bogs. Bag store (vans) was not organised and was just luck that the bags weren't stolen. Need to arrange some time zones at the start to avoid slower runners lining up at the front then walking on the hill and getting in people's way. Otherwise all extremely well organised.

In short: Hot day but PB potential
In full: Hot day, that made PBs a bit harder - hopefully the race will be back in Feb next year, ice permitting. Good organisation, well marshalled, nice medal, I'll be back next year.

In short: Very well organised. Quick course.
In full: Got my PB here a couple of years ago so came back for another go - although quite a bit slower this time. A few minor hills but generally a fast course. Not very exiting scenery, especially on the road setion in the middle. Plenty of loos this time - a great improvement over a couple of years ago. Bargin price too considering the goody bag on offer. I'll come back again next year having done a bit more training!

In short: Good fun mid size race. Be back next year for a faster time.
In full: Good course that exits the town quite fast onto the quiet country roads. A few decent hills but not too testing. Definately PB potential but mostly as there's not many 15 milers around on the road. Thanks to the marshalls who kept the encouragement going despite the poor weather. Start organisation a bit chaotic and late, but worked ok ish. Good changing facilities, parking etc.

In short: Good fun and hard work.
In full: Good race with decent weather this year. Must be hard going in bad and/ or windy conditions. Marshalls did a good job and the signage was excellent. Shot glass a nice and unusual momento. Full brekkie much appreciated too. Good idea having the staggered start as gave everyone space to run on quite narrow paths etc. Will definately be back next year. Thanks.

In short: Always a good race. 2nd half much quicker than 1st. Rubbish bag storage arrangements. Be back next year
In full: 4th time of running and the slowest so far. Probably due to the windy weather and being a bit over-cautious in the first few miles. 2nd half was a full 5 mins quicker than 1st half. Marshalls doing a grand job in cold conditions and loads of them too. Baggage arrangements are always a bit chaotic at Watford but worse than ever this year. Not really good enough when people are cold and need to get to their warm clothes. Would prefer a medal to a T shirt but no big deal. Will be back again next year no doubt.
