In short: Good Race If Only People Read The Literature In full: Overall Bristol was a gain a good race. Have done it for the last three years and although the usual happened (people being in the wrong place at the start) once you got past the first couple of miles you could make up for lost time.
1:45 this year which was quite respectable considering the glorious weather.
I do think though that tighter controls on who starts where could be imposed, much like the beginning of the Martahon where a marshall pervents you entering the wrong pen.
The course itself was an improvement with less winding around the city centre and the the hill on the portway although tough was relatively brief compared to hilly courses such as swindon half and norton and radstock half etc.
i would recommend this to anyone wanting to attempt a Half for the first time. Date of review: September 21, 2006
