In short: Best race in Stockport!
In full: Long hills, dreary estates, main road traffic but it is really quite a laugh and a fine race that somehow rises far above the sum of its parts.

In short: Always well organised and a great race in the windy conditions this year.
In full: Always well organised and a great race in the windy conditions this year. The start wasn't bad considering the restrictions they have to deal with.

My only suggestion is to hold the presentations much earlier say 1pm latest.

In short: Well organised friendly race over entertaining course mixing quiet rural lanes with muddy footpaths.
In full: It was clear that a lot off effort had gone into the organisation and it all paid off. Tea and cakes at the finish and stuff that you could eat in the goody bag too. As someone else said a basic bag store (just label bags with race number) would be good. The radio thing was fun and I can only imagine it being even more popular next year.

There were an amazing number of marshals out on the course and plenty of well placed signs. I noticed that you'd even fixed the bridge over into the Total Fitness field which was previously down to a single plank.

In road shoes some of the muddy paths were a bit hairy but that is the joy of MT and worked to my advantage. I enjoyed the race and was pleased to finish a distant 2nd. Has anyone seen any results or photos online?

The race entry was expensive for a local race with no prizes which is fair enough given the fund raising aims. I think that it is important in this case to clearly report the money raised for the charity, if possible showing a breakdown of where the collected money goes either in total or as a pie chart of entry fee.

In short: Not scenic but good race with track stadium start and finish on closed roads.
In full: Course much improved over the years. For the first time it wasn't long and none of the previous problems lapping back markers. They do need to provide enough toilets and improve race information.

In short: Challenging hills and friendly support made for a great race. But let down by poor organisation - cars and runners don't mix in the finishing straight!

In short: Great fun running through the woods. Brass band, what more could you want.
In full: Really thorough organisation - I've never seen a course marked and marshalled so well. And fun - I mean a piano playing in the middle of the woods, brass band at the finish. Uplifting.
Kids enjoyed fun run but would have liked to run through the woods too.
It would have been a good idea to have separate lanes up the finish straight as the leaders had to weave past those being lapped - which might have contributed to the results delays too.

In short: 2-lap course much better than previous but still seems slow. Start and finish on the track is the highlight. Pity I was outsprinted for 3rd place.
In full: Very well organised. You have to expect to pay for road closures and use of stadium.
