In short: Definitely one to do again...
In full: The day dawned bright and clear and what was to become an extremely hot day! I had been warned about the "tough" hill and to be honest this hill added with the heat made this a tough course. But I LOVED IT. The views were stunning, the runners and marshalls were brilliant and getting my medal from Dame Kelly (my heroine) I rate this as one of my all time favourites. Not my fastest or slowest time for a half marathon but definitely one I will do again next year. And yes my legs did ache in some very different places. Thanks to Geoff for helping me through the last 2 miles. And a lovely lady who offered me a jelly baby at 12 miles. It was much appreciated. Highly recommend this!!

In short: Brilliant fun. Will be back next year.
In full: This was my first time at the St. Albans and I will def. be back next year. Ok this course is hilly. People who had run it previously warned me about the hills at 3 miles and 6 miles. And yes, they are there but not killer hills - but tiring, my legs certainly felt it. Not a PB course but definitely one to enjoy. Marshalls were top class, friendly competitors, and the ice-lolly at the finish was perfect. Weather was great too!

In short: Excellent Race. Well organised. Well done
In full: This race was great fun. I turned up with the idea that this was a "training run". And loved it. Perfect warm up for the FLM. Route was scenic (in some parts) and challenging (one particular hill was TOUGH)! And I agree, did wonders for my mental toughness! Cadets were brilliant and marshalls were great. I didn't have any problems with the narrow pathways, although I am sure some people did. Brilliant way to fit in a training run - somewhere new. Even managed to finish quicker than expected! Would do again. Thanks.

In short: Challenging but pretty course, excellent marshalls
In full: Excellent organisation. Marshalls were very encouraging and very friendly competitors. Beautiful scenery. Bit disappointed to be stopped to cross one of the roads and would like a medal! But I guess you can't have everything. Will be back again next year!

In short: Grim weather, very windy and wet. Flooded roads. Superb marshalls!!
In full: I felt the weather could not have been worse - strong winds pushing you all over the place, rain and flooded roads. The course is pretty tough too - undulating practically for the whole 20 miles. You were either running up or down... never along!
Very friendly fellow runners - offering advice, and encouragement. As a first timer this made this run very enjoyable.
The Marshalls were absolutely brilliant. I can't thank you all enough. Your encouragement and enthusiam brough a smile to my face despite my soggy socks!
Brilliantly organised, and a great running top to finish the day.
A good run to do before the FLM (am beginning to feel that I will be able to complete the 26.2 miles).
And yes I will be back next year (but could we please have some sun)!

In short: Fun race - tough hills - some nice downhills and a PB!
In full: Very good fun. Marshalls were very encouraging. Would particularly like to thank the Marshall at 12 miles - your words of encouragement meant a lot to my tired legs.

In short: Tough but very pretty and good fun. Well organised.
In full: There are a few narrow spots where you have to walk. But the beautiful scenery makes up for it. Brilliant organisation and VERY friendly and encouraging marshalls. Thanks for a great run!!
