In short: Best fun you can have with your clothes on - get filthy without getting told off by your mum! Wonderful, wonderful race.
In full: This is my all-time favourite race. It's tough, not just because there are some hilly bits but because if you're towards the back of the field, as I am, you are slipping and sliding in the mud that's been churned up by over 1000 pairs of feet before you! But it's just brilliant. Organisation is incredibly smooth, the marshals are encouraging and friendly (although none of them wanted a hug from me - I wonder why?) and the camaraderie amongst the runners is heart-warming, as people stop to haul someone back to their feet and encourage others to splash right in the middle of the deepest muddy bits. The bugler playing the Last Post, the two minute silence and the respect given to Remembrance Day all add to the specialness that is this race. Keep on doing what you're doing, organisers - this is the best race going!Thank you.

In short: Mudtastic fun!!!
In full: As always, a superbly organised race. Marshalls unfailingly smiley, supportive, friendly and all-round good eggs. Great atmosphere, loved the ditches and soupy mud, even the silage (bring it on!!). Just the best fun! Bring on next year's race!!! Thank you, Bitton Road Runners, for the most fun you can have on a Sunday morning with your clothes on :-)

In short: Superb organisation - scenic route, just nicely muddy. Very friendly and supporting marshalls- excellent race
In full: It was great to do the inaugural Titsey Trail 10k - superbly well organised, great marshalling, pre-race communications very good. Plenty support for those at the back. Park and Ride a really nice touch! Well done, Oxted Runners - let's make this an annual event!

In short: Great route, great support, superb organisation - worth driving 120 miles to do!
In full: I got talked into doing this even though it is only 2 weeks since doing FLM and I'm really glad I did - excellent organisation, good route, support from crowd patchy but noisy!, excellent marshalling - thanks for the support from you all - nice medal and t-shirt. Will definitely try to do this one again.

In short: Muddy fun!
In full: Wettest, muddiest and coldest Slog I've done but had a brilliant time, as always. Thanks to the spectators for standing around in the cold and wet for hours, and especially to all the marshalls who were unfailingly cheerful, encouraging and fun! Got a kiss just past the kissing gate from one and gave another a very muddy hug - good sports, all of you. A very special race, superbly organised and guaranteed to make you grin! Well done to everyone for organising, spectating and taking part on what was a foul day. Roll on next year!!

In short: Great race - well organised, friendly, challenging in parts!
In full: Really enjoyed this. My friends and I were tail-end Charlies and were still made to feel like superstars by the marshalls and other runners. Hills weren't quite as bad as I expected - running through the woods with the sun filtering through the leaves was quite special. Thanks to the exceptionally friendly and supportive marshalls who encouraged us all the way along. Great cakes at the end!! Overall, one of the friendliest races I've done. Well done and thanks to all involved.

In short: Foul weather, great marshalls, superb running companions!
In full: Did the third leg of the relay and boy, was it tough! But at least the rain held off. Great organisation, lovely to have the hall to sit in while team members were braving the elements. Thanks to the marshalls who applauded and called encouragement to every single runner, and who had to stay out in that dreadful weather for so long. You are all stars!

In short: Just the best race ever! Fabulous atmosphere, friendly runners, great marshalls and ,best of all, loads of luvverly mud!!!
In full: This is an event, not a race, and just the best fun you can have with your clothes on! Fabulous support from the marshalls, who were unfailingly friendly, supportive and who applauded every single one of us, giving us words of encouragement. Best bits - the lake, obviously! Running through the big puddly by the little bridge just before the common, sliding down the big hill on our bottoms, and doing aeroplane impersonations while singing The Dambusters as we came down the hills!

This is just the most fantastic way to spend a Sunday. Observing the two minute silence followed by the bugler playing the Last Post adds to the occasion and makes the start of the race very poignant and moving and just adds to the special qualities this race has.

Can't wait till next year!! Thank you everyone who made it happen.

In short: Tough, tumbled over in the mud, took forever but what a race! Stunning scenery, friendliest marshalls and runners. Terrific.
In full: Despite my legs feeling like lead - not helped by the three pounds of mud caked to each shoe! - and struggling a lot in the last few miles, the stunning scenery, incredibly friendly and supportive marshalls and runners, lovely gloopy mud and challenging hills (felt like mountains to me!!) made this a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday. It put a smile on my face and half a hundredweight of mud in my washing machine.

Glad we bought our cakes before the race and had them put aside for us, otherwise we'd have missed out!!!

In short: The most fun I've had with my clothes on!
In full: My first cross-country race and I loved every second of it! Marshalls were great - all smiling, clapping and shouting encouragement. All runners extremely friendly and lots of helping hands to get others out of the mud! Fabulous race, grinned from ear to ear as I ran it. It's converted me to cross-country racing.
