In short: Well done Gosport!
In full: Excellent organisation, friendly and encouraging marshals, a fast, flat course with chip timing, and a nice goody bag at the end. Lovely weather today and I ran a PB which is likely to have influenced my opinion, but it would be hard to improve on the race and overall experience, and Gosport Road Runners are to be congratulated on a superb event.

In short: Great race, great organisation
In full: Second time at this race for me. Race HQ is a leisure centre with decent facilities and parking is close by. The route is very pretty along minor roads following the river, with a start and finish on the athletics track.
There are a couple of hills but nothing too serious and the downhill sections give good potential for a PB.
Overall, a highly recommended race that is very friendly, has encouraging marshalls and spectators and manages to have a 'big event' feel despite being a relatively small field.

In short: Challenging but very rewarding
In full: The climb from mile 4 to 6 was tough but the scenery made it worthwhile. The race was a brilliant experience, helped by the fantastic weather conditions. Everything was well organised and the marshalls were very supportive and encouraging. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is up for a challenge.

In short: A great half with PB potential on a scenic traffic free course
In full: Did this race last year, and although the field had increased substantially the event was better for it. Plenty of free parking (although it could have been better organised), civilised queuing at the loos, frequent water stations (with small sports bottles- excellent!), encouraging marshalls and lovely weather to top it off! The wind was tough between miles 7 and 10, but fine the rest of the way round and not nearly as bad as last year. Overall a very well organised race that I would highly recommend for all standards. Organisers- please don't make the field bigger again- it's now a perfect size.
