In short: Good start. Lovely run through the parks. Roads opened too early.
In full: I thought the pulsed start worked very well. I was in the last group, and we got over the start line at about 10:15 which gave us plenty of time to get over Kingston bridge before it was reopened. The parks were really picturesque and enjoyable to run through. I was very disappointed to see roads reopening before we got there even though we were on 3 hour pace. At one point we had to navigate our own way across a busy road and then only just spotted that we has to turn off it because all the marshalls had gone home. I noticed some people who had missed the turn and were coming back from further along the road - Not very beginner friendly. Race organisers need to tell runners at what pace they need to run to be sure that roads will be closed and marshalls will still be around. If we were 10 minutes later (and there were still alot of people behind us) we could well have got lost.

In short: A bit too hot
In full: A severe lack of toilets at the start resulted a 35 minute queue. Very friendly marshalls. Found some of the mile markers seemed in the wrong places. Not enough lucozade at the first station. Fantastic support from the crowd.

In short: Well Organised but a little too windy for my liking
In full: Very glad that there was no snow. Most of the route is good 'cos you manage to get all the major hills out of the way at the start. the last two miles are a killer though - alongside the Ness into the wind :-(

In short: Lovely Route, Amazing Goodie Bag, Appalling first 2K bottleneck
In full: The route was made for a fast run but the narrow track for the first 2K seemed to cost everyone that I ran with between 1 and 2 minutes. Will be back next year and hope for time graded start positions.

In short: Did the Relay - Too few toilets. Buses were far too early.
In full: I did the second leg of the relay. We had to get the bus at 08:15 even though the first 7 mile leg didn't start until 10:00. It was a long time to wait in the rain. The toilets didn't arrive until ~10am and there were only two! That was for the ~1000 relay teams. Queing for ~45 minutes for the toilet is not fun.
