In short: Great crowds, great marshalls, good course. Disastrous baggage system In full: I was really hoping for a fantastic event as it's so close to home and I run many of the roads of the route in training. I had enjoyed the build up and felt the information was good enough. I didn't mind the weather, in fact I think it helped the atmosphere as there was something of the feeling of shared hardship. It's not often supporters go through as much discomfort as the runners. But to get to end and suddenly find that I'm not going to be able to find my bag easily while shivering violently really took everything away from my joy of a good pb. There were some people in a really bad way and I was expecting to hear pretty grim news on the local reports that evening. Such diabolical lack of organisation is negligent.
Hats off to the people in Christies charity tent. I can't begin to describe how much you helped me. Date of review: April 30, 2012
In short: Good, well organised race. Some great enthusiasm from the marshals along the route. My goody bag was missing the chocolate which others reported - the beer is a nice touch however. Date of review: January 17, 2010
In short: A really good, friendly and well organised race. Good support from the locals and the cabbage is a lot better than some of the things you get in a goody bag Date of review: September 28, 2006
