In short: Great PB race - flat, well organised and plenty of space
In full: Great course - truly flat but also quiet country roads with few cars. Well organised with great facilities, parking, etc. Not one for those in need of spectator support but ideal for anyone wanting a simple, head-down run. Will be back next year

In short: A good race with a real mix along the route
In full: Marshals were great and enthusiastic - actually made you feel as if they were pushing for you the individual.

Parking was an slight issue - perhaps radios between the roundabout and car park marshals would help? It would have been nice to have bottles of water rather than the cups but I do appreciate the cost impacts of that.

The wind made the second and then definitely the last lap harder still.

May well be back!

In short: Brilliant run with excellent marshalling
In full: The weather was in many ways perfect for a fell run - made the muddy bits muddier and the bogs a bit deeper. The hills were a killer, especially the first. The marshals were great - making this a good fell run for beginners

In short: No matter what the date this race will always bring the heat!
In full: Another tough race due to the heat. The water stations were very well manned and the support of the locals with the hosepipes was great.

I missed last year - and am sure the hill at 9 got even longer!

In short: Well organised, excellent route
In full: A really friendly race which fortunately had more runners than I had expected - definitely helping with the navigation!

I found the two big hills tough - and will be focusing on my hill work before I return next year!

In short: Brilliant race
In full: Probably one of my favourite races. Apart from the very first hill the incline was fine. The views were amazing - shame I could not break away from my race head and actually stop and take it all in a little more. Good organisation and friendly crown. I will be back next year (even with the 2hr drive each way!)

In short: Great marathon
In full: Excellent organisation with the only weakness being the crush into the starting line up. The marshalls were excellent - partic at the top of the hill just before 16 (not 18!) who were brilliant with me (thank you!). I didn't mind the gravel track - it was good to get away from the cars and I did my best running on it. Will be back next year - please open up the entry now!

In short: Great run, very tough and the young marshalls were brill
In full: My first ever lakes run. I had anticipated hills and trails but when we turned right at the gate and saw everyone running up that first big one I nearly turned around and came home.

Loved every minute of the run though (I can say that now its finished).

Thanks to all the marshalls but especially the younger ones who gave up their Sat for us.

The 7 hour round trip makes it a long day but I will be back for the Lakeland Trails in the autumn and for this one next year - hopefully bringing some friends with me

In short: Great race
In full: My first time for this one and I am really pleased I came - and I will be encouraging others in my club to join me next year.
It was a good route, the hills really were killers but the downhill sections do compensate. The wind was a bit cruel but ir probably helped in the latter half.
Great organisation supported by the good start / finish location.
