In short: Splendid day out
In full: Cracking weather. Road shoes were OK today as it hadn't rained for a few days. Needed more marshalls at a few places because of queue jumpers in at least 3 places. I used it as a training run after about 30 people passed the patient ones waiting in line to get over stiles. Good event though it had a bit of everything, ups, downs, road, track, field, mud, obstacles and a stream.

In short: You gotta dig deep on them ther hills!!
In full: Couldn't have picked a better day. The weather was brill. I'm glad I read previous race reports otherwise I wouldn't have been mentally prepared for the ups and downs. I'll start on one of the outer lanes on the track next time because I got boxed in on the corners. I didn't really check out the views because I didn't have the luxury to. Good banannas and cold water at the end. See you later in the year Witton Park. Note to self. Do long hill reps.

In short: I must say I enjoyed the race. Will do it again if it's on.
In full: I know some people are miffed but generally i thought it was a good race. I like trails. The start was a bit confusing as people were unsure where it was (even the marshalls). When it did start I heard a little noise then people started running, that was the start!
For my pace finishing in 39 mins I had no problems whatsoever with the course because I was always following someone. I also got a goodybag.
Personally I will give it an A+ but I know other people may give it an E-.

I would do it again but i'm not sure about the elite (for the marshalling)or the beginners if they didn't get a goodybag.

It's a learning curve and better luck next. year

In short: Shame about the inpatient car drivers nearly knocking people over at times. This is something that could be improved for next year. Good flatish event apart from the motorway bridges. You can pick some speed up on the downhills though.

In short: A fantastic trail race.
In full: A 1 mile lap then 2 x 2 mile laps.
This year the weather was hot and sunny so made you sweat plenty.
Definately do it again later in the year to beat my time.
