In short: A wonderful setting for a hilly10K
In full: I really enjoyed this race, everybody i came across from picking my number up on the day to leaving the car park had a smile on their face and the setting for the start and finish was marvelous with a great atmosphere with plenty of cheering at the end. Very fast at the beginning of the race on account of the downhill and up and down for most of the race and the killer hill at the end was the same hill as at the start, just going upwards. Ran a sub 40 so very pleased!! Will defo do again next year if i'm fit....thanks to all the organsisers....a cracking venue, race and organisation. I'd have preferred cakes to bananas at the end though :-)

In short: Lots of downhills and a shed load of uphills
In full: Tough muddy race through woodland tracks up and down hills. Uneven under foot and potential for twisted ankles but a great race all round. This year was dry weather but trail shoes were best to wear due to recent downpours making some of the tracks very slippery if wearing normal running shoes. Fab race all round

In short: The king of all races with 4 of the hardest hills i've walked up
In full: The third time i've ran this race. OMG i'd forgotten how hard it can be in places. But what a run, hard as nails but with fabulous scenery. The organisation is the best you could ask for. Thank you very much marshalls, drink station, jelly baby marshalls and sprinkler people. You were all great.

In short: nice scenery, flat course generally, not quite PB potential
In full: A nicely organised race in a fairly picturesque setting, mainly flat except for the last 1km. Almost PB potential, a few twists and turns, the bridge and the last KM just take the edge of a potential best. Water station virtually non existent, i dropped the cup from the first person and just managed to hold onto the cup from the second person.....there should have been at least 6 people handing out water. Minor gripes though, a great morning overall.

In short: Fast flat race
In full: My first race back from injury, just perfect, relatively flat, almost traffic free (quiet lanes throughout). A great test for fit and unfit runners. I'll defo be back next year i'm sure. Jaffa cakes at the end too.

In short: Mud mud glorious mud
In full: A great race that you just have to get round. Beware anybody who thinks this is easy, not a chance, its very muddy, very hilly, and as hard as nails but well worth doing. Beware the fence on the right hand side at 4 miles....its barbed wire and should have a marshall telling people to be careful. I've just spent the afternoon in casualty getting treated for a 7 inch gash from that fence! I'll be back next year though, there is something special about this place.

In short: A challenging race for seasoned racers and beginners.
In full: very good race that starts fast, you need your wits about you as there are plenty of places to twist your ankle. Killer hill midway and then some challenging hills to the end. The race is 8.56 miles long according to garmin, surely the race organisers could get the distance correct!! The marshalling was good, although a bit quiet in places and i went the wrong way at one marshalling point. Thoroughly ejoyed it though, a good race all round.
