In full: Great event, Great Route, Good Organisation.

Let down by the lack of the advertised TECHNICAL T-shirt (makes an enormous difference to the value of entering this race). I would hope that the correct Tshirts get posted out once they arrive, rather than having an advert for te latest shoe to wear!

Three Forts is my Marathon of coice on the downs, tougher & much cheaper!

In short: Excellent medical support
In full: I pulled up after 4 miles with a calf problem. The help was
excellent. I was transported back to the start/finish area
with another runner in the same predicament and driven right up
to the Physio tent where my calf was iced and advice given

In short: Excellent marshalling. momento would be good if they hadn't been around for a few years already, my 4th similar paperweight. Ideal for London prep, one other (very minor!) quibble, it was nice to see the splits for the first 3 laps, would be good t

In short: A perfect build up race for any spring Marathon
In full: My second time of doing this, and surprisingly considering the conditions I actually got round quicker this time.
I chose to run in road shoes as opposed to studs, as most of the terrain is pretty solid (road & sea wall) and didn't fancy running 15 miles with zero cushioning. This decision did make the 2 miles coming up to Leigh station and the little section after a little tricky.
But, great fun, and if I'm doing a spring marathon next year I'll be back!

In short: Absolutely loved it!!!
In full: My 3rd time of doing this, 2006 was 55 minutes dead, 2007 was 53 minutes 36 seconds. This year I came through in 48.52, just 14 seconds outside my PB set 5 weeks ago!
The killer climb at 7k to 7.5k was a bit slippy on the chalk, the next 1/2k was like the cross country season had started early, running through mud & puddles.
Great Fun, well organised, a proper memento, rather than a tacky tin medal.
Brilliant Race!
