In short: The sun always shines on Atlantic College!
In full: Very easy to find (always a bonus for me!), beautiful location, millions of well organised marshalls (and particularly enthusiastic at 9km!), and a top new momento for the collection - a mug this time! There are lumps and bumps, but if you make the most of the downhills, you won't be held up.

In short: The 5 miler is plenty!
In full: Takes in the last 5 miles of the full on 20, and though it didn't give us the full benefit of the weather a ' the top' it we very very chilly for us too!!! Some good downhills could lead you to believe you are on for a good race, but the wind in your face and the hill just past 18 miles will leave you realising otherwise!!!

Great support, well organised, but shame there is nothing for the 5 milers - though very big respect to those who do the 20!!!

In short: The weather was glorious too!
In full: I was most impressed by the traffic organisation. The route takes on some busy roads and junctions and traffic was at a standstill for us. Hurrah!!

In short: It was a chilly one!
In full: Fantastic course, brilliant organisation, amazing prize (a big towel!!!) and special guests (Ron Hill & Bruce Tulloh) for a really informative Q&A afterwards The only thing that let this one down was the awful cold!!! It was a rather grey day, and Exeter seemed to just miss out on snow, but with such a great atmosphere, not many noticed! Just meant conversations were cut short after the race so I could run back to the car and add layers again!!!

In short: So hot! And so not quite flat!!!
In full: I missed the enthusiasm from the marshalls. They are normally all at least clapping, if not calling out your numbers as you go past congratulating you!!!!!

Still, it went very much like clockwork. Venue very easy to find (always a bonus!) and some much needed shade along the Taff Trail was welcome. Huge bargain compared to another race happening in Cardiff today......!!

In short: One of the best racing experiences ever!!!
In full: Really can't say enough about the loveliness of this race! Such a wonderful atmosphere with a fantastic 2 mile starter race - great commentating coming to the finish, huge amounts of encouragement, lovely big park, great marshalls..... I couldn't stay around til the end, and I am sure I missed out on more brilliantness as a result, but I really can't wait to do this one again! 5 miles is my new favourite distance now!!!

In short: Great family day out!
In full: Race orders meant 10k runners were being over taken by 5k runners. 1km race could have been a starter event rather than the third to get going. But a great atmosphere and a pleasure to be part of.

In short: This course gave me a new HR max!!!
In full: Shame the weather didn't drizzle like it said it would! The heat really took me by surprise but I think there was an extra water station that was perfectly welcome!

There were problems with the traffic on the way to the event though, which the organisers seemed to be aware of but didn't accomodate in the starting or road closing which was a bit unfair. Nice area, friendly people, might do it again if I am feeling brave enough!
